The primary goals of SOPEC are to provide low cost energy supply and reliable service of power to its member communities. To help reach these goals, SOPEC has recognized the need to develop local energy generation projects, such as utilty-scale solar PV projects, by including member communities and energy consumers in the process.
SOPEC will work with community partners to educate members about how locally generated energy projects and energy efficiency service programs can create jobs throughout the SOPEC regional territory while reducing members’ impact on the environment and their wallet.
